Omega. Additional Information

Here we'll briefly summarize all remaining income streams not covered in previous guides. This doesn't mean they're no longer effective at Omega status, but rather that a premium account indirectly influences them. Below, we'll discuss scanning, a level 4 agent, PvP, and factional warfare, along with abyssal missions, as well as trading and cargo transportation.

WH Scanning

Won't double your scan earnings, as with the [unclear] option , once purchased. However, it will unlock second-generation T2 ships if your faction's frigates are upgraded to level 5. These ships are designed for combat, as well as for increasing security and facilitating hacking while scanning data and relics. Consider it Astero, but at half price, or even 2-3 times less in ISK, minimizing losses. T2 analyzers, which increase virus strength, also become available for scanning after upgrading skills and installing them on your ship.

Additionally, with a premium account, you can learn invisibility or cloaking. Simply activating it will make you invisible to scans, making you undetectable by combat reconnaissance probes. Additionally, Tier 2 scanning ships gain access to cloaking cover, which allows you to enter warp mode while remaining invisible. This way, people won't even know you're in warp mode and flying around the system. This significantly increases your chances of survival compared to Alpha.

Level 4 and 5 Agents

With Omega, you gain access to a level 4 agent, which awards increased reward points and ISK. Bounties for killing NPC ships are typically 100,000-1,000 ISK in such missions. But you'll need to acquire a faction battleship or at least buy a Praxis, because the higher the agent's level, the stronger and more numerous the enemies.

You can complete 4 bowls with a fleet, and then the one with the Omega who receives the quest must distribute the reward among all participants during the quest handover. A level 4 agent can easily be completed with 3-4 Gnosis. Regarding level 5 agents, there's little information, but they say you need to gather and complete them with a fleet.

Incidentally, the alpha guide for level 3 didn't mention anything about leveling your standings with corporations if they've dropped to almost -5, or even if half the universe is now shooting at you. What should you do? Standings are leveled with delivery missions for one of the corporations of the faction you have a negative attitude toward. Or, you can somehow (you need to find out) level them with faction tokens.

As for the delivery service, progress through level 1 until you unlock levels 2, 3, and 4. They say the 4th Delivery Agent is overkill, and it's unclear why—whether it's because it's good for leveling up your standings, or because they give expensive implants for special missions, like in Security Agent level 4. I'll have to check.

PvP, Abyss, Faction Warfare

It's the same as with scanning: it makes fighting easier due to the ability to level up skills and board T2 ships, which are more powerful than regular T1 ships in alpha. For example, you can very quickly level up your faction's Destroyer skill in Tier 5 and board a multi-mode T2 destroyer, which can be customized to suit your needs thanks to the ability to choose one of three modes (attack, defense, speed).

There are also such things as interdictor cruisers (which create a bubble around themselves), T3 strike cruisers, which scan for WX and nullsec, and also fight in C1 with sleepers (not exactly), and reconnaissance and patrol cruisers with coverclocking (which allow them to move invisibly in warp mode).

Another good thing is bombers, they are also sometimes used for scanning or catching other scanners, crawling in coverclock almost right next to them, and causing damage with 10,000 bombs, practically destroying alpha frigates in one salvo.

CCP makes money when your ship gets blown up, or when you blow up your opponent's ship. Afterward, you'll be in the game every day to recoup your losses or pay CCP money. That's why wars, conflicts, and creepers on warpgates are necessary. You can beat the game if you don't lose your ISK.

Regarding the Abyss, there's no information about T2 ships flying there, as the latter are significantly more expensive than regular T1 ships, and in the Abyss there's a risk of losing everything and not returning (you need to find out for yourself or test it). Furthermore, it seems there's no limit to the Abyss level (filament) that can be completed with a level 3 agent, while Omega removes this limitation (not certain, please correct me if I'm wrong).

Trade and Cargo Transportation

Omega indirectly affects trade and shipping in general. Buying and selling becomes more profitable due to skills that reduce the sales tax on orders from 10% on Alpha to an average of 5% at maximum skill level. During an instant sale, the tax will be around 2.5% instead of 5% with maxed skills. This makes life easier if you trade a lot. Additionally, a skill line unlocks, enabling increased order placements up to 1000+, remote order management (price changes), increased order purchasing radius (40+ hypergates), etc.

Goods transportation becomes faster, thanks to the ability to master cargo ship skills at 4 or 5, which increases hold capacity for both regular carriers and specialized ones (Miasmos, Krios, Epital, etc.). Also, at skill level 5, two types of second-generation T2 cargo ships become available: a frontier-type transport for transporting 40,000+ m3 in an additional compartment, with enhanced ship protection, and a blockade-breaking transport for invisible travel in warp mode, with rapid acceleration and flight speed between planets.

Conclusion

In conclusion to this series of tutorials on speedrunning Omega Status on Alpha and Omega, I'd like to add that there are two main things in EVE: minimizing your losses and learning how to reach Omega Status in 7 days (unless the admins fix this with an update or patch after this article is written). When you don't lose any ISK in the game and can earn a premium account in a week without real money, you've completed the game. As they say in Steam reviews, "EVE isn't actually a difficult game; it's easier than you think." I agree with the author: it's difficult if you read and study things you won't need, trying to master every skill, activity, etc.

I say goodbye to you all, crab, and more joyful moments in the game 0/
