Alpha. Other Ways to Earn Income

Alpha. Expeditions

Another way to earn money on an Alpha account is through randomness and luck, somewhat similar to anomaly scanning. This activity involves tracking combat signatures, green ones scattered randomly throughout the New Eden Galaxy systems. You must fly through the high sector and kill enemy NPC ships, hoping to unlock a special mission (Expedition, EXP) featuring a faction ship that can drop an expensive faction module.

Completing Expeditions (farming green stuff)

Cost: 20-200kk per ship

Benefit: Omega status for 7-60 days

The optimal way to complete expeditions is on a faction cruiser like the Gila. Firstly, there are some expeditions that only allow cruiser-class ships (battlecruisers are no longer suitable), and secondly, there are difficult expeditions (difficulty 5/10) that can only be completed on a Praxis-class battleship or higher, or a faction cruiser. However, since such ships are expensive, we will be completing expeditions on the Gnosis battlecruiser. You can find the ship's equipment in the article " Alpha. Tier 3 Agent ." It will be "almost" the same.

How do I find an expedition?

The quote is taken from a real conversation in the Russian newbie help chat:

" Refuge and Den - you need to farm greens to get the

Den expedition - it only appears at 0.6 and below.

Jessica Lee > also, at the end of the anomaly, there might be a bonus spawn of an additional ship - a faction member (dread guristas / shadow serpentis / true sansha / dark blood / domination). You need to quickly kill and loot it - with a small chance you can get an expensive faction module or implant.

Jessica Lee Dasspla Gaid There are several hideways, for example:

Guristas Hideaway

Guristas Hidden Hideaway

Guristas Forsaken Hideaway

Guristas Forlorn Hideaway

The expedition is only given in the first one ."

Fly through the systems and go through green combat anomalies, collecting loot with the tractor along the way, until a message appears that you have received the expedition. You can check the location and difficulty by opening the Agency with Alt + M and going to the appropriate section, or by going to "Main Menu - Activities - Agency." This could happen in half an hour or a few days. Randomness and luck are involved here, much like finding untouched WXs in a scan . The difficulty of the experience varies, from 1/10 to 10/10. In the high sector, the highest difficulty encountered is 5/10.

I found an expedition, what should I do?

Open the Agency, check the system it landed in. If it's lowsec, forget about it and move on. If it's highsec, read the difficulty and what ships are allowed. Does it say only cruisers are allowed? You'll have to transfer from the Gnosis to a cruiser. And if the difficulty is 5/10, I recommend using the Praxis or any other battleship.

Only you know the location of the expedition, but when you start it, they can scan you with combat probes and fly to the expedition to kill you, beat you, take all the loot from a tractor by cutting it down, or simply take an expensive faction module. What should you do in such cases? Well, at least occasionally press the V key to scan, as in the guide on earning money by scanning , to see if there are combat reconnaissance probes in the local area.

CCP makes money when your ship gets blown up, or when you blow up your opponent's ship. Afterward, you'll be in the game every day to recoup your losses or pay CCP money. That's why wars, conflicts, and creepers on warpgates are necessary. You can beat the game if you don't lose your ISK.

Sometimes, after completing an expedition through all the pockets, the last one doesn't drop a faction module. Try shooting the structures in the last pocket. Sometimes these structures are marked with a star, sometimes not at all, but they can contain valuable loot.

What are the prices of modules and where should I put them?

Depending on the difficulty and luck, modules can cost between 7,000,000 and 700,000 ISK. Sometimes, instead of modules, you'll get an expensive implant or production components with a tangible profit after selling them. They weigh only 10 m³, but they're expensive. For example, if a module costs more than 100,000 ISK, creepers at the warpgate will kill you for it.

To safely transport the module to Jita and sell it, I recommend getting a ship with a fast warp, the Sunesis. Install inertial stabilizers in the bottom slot to reduce the ship's warp time. It should be less than 3 seconds, i.e., 3.02 seconds isn't suitable, as the warp time will be 4 seconds. I recommend installing rigs for increasing cargo hold capacity (Cargohold Optimization) or warp speed (Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer) in the modifier slot. Shields in the middle slot.

This way, you can quickly and relatively safely transport an expensive faction module to its reseller location, and, unlike a shuttle, you'll be less likely to be killed by creepers in one shot. This doesn't guarantee you won't be killed, but it only increases your chances of delivering the loot. But if you don't have the funds for sanitization, sell it on site or transport it by shuttle. Anything expensive and light is usually transported by fast transport, which is difficult to catch.

That's all for now. If you have any additions or questions about this guide, please leave a comment. Crab to all 0 /
